TERMS
Terms of Use
1. Purpose and scope
These terms set out the conditions for using the Campfire Tonight app and its information website provided by JC Studio. How we handle personal information is explained in the Privacy Policy. Questions can be sent to whdcjf8172@gmail.com.
2. What the app provides
The app is a real-time 3D scene with one campfire on a beach. You tap the dry sticks along the shore to gather them (5 a day, more wash up after 5 a.m.), tap the fire pit to make an ember with a bow drill and blow it into a flame, and keep the fire going with sticks or logs. Press and hold the screen to open settings. No login account is created.
There are two ways to get logs. When you tap a log that has washed up on the shore, a line appears saying you can pick it up by watching a short ad; tap again and a rewarded ad plays, and if you watch it to the end you get 1 log. This works up to 3 times a day. Otherwise, you can buy the Google Play in-app product bundle of 10 logs.
The app has no banner ads and no interstitial (full-screen) ads. See the Privacy Policy for how ad providers handle information and the choices available to you. The terms of third-party products and services shown in ads are set by their providers, and ads do not represent our recommendations.
The bundle of 10 logs is a consumable product sold through Google Play in-app billing. You can buy it from Buy a bundle of 10 logs in settings, or, once you have used up the day's ad logs, by tapping a log on the shore twice. The 10 logs you buy are recorded on your device, and logs you put on the fire are used up. There are no subscriptions, lifetime purchases or ad-removal purchases. Because the bundle is consumable, there is no restore-purchase feature. Payments and refunds follow section 7.
3. The fire and time
The fire burns in real time: about 4 minutes for a stick and about 30 minutes for a log, and it is counted as burning even while the app is closed. So the fire may be out when you come back, and sticks and logs you have put on the fire do not come back. The day changes at 5 a.m.; if the fire is still burning then, new sticks wash up after it goes out.
While the fire burns, the screen stays on and the 3D scene keeps drawing, so battery use goes up and your phone may get warm. The sound of waves, wind and fire plays only while the app is on screen.
Lighting the fire in the scene is a depiction, not instructions for making a real fire. When you handle real fire, follow the rules of the place and basic safety practice.
4. Records kept on your device
The fire state and the record of logs you have received are kept in the app's storage on your device. The app does not use Android app data backup, so uninstalling the app or clearing its data also removes any logs you had left (including bought ones), and they cannot be recovered. We do not guarantee that records move with you if your phone breaks or is replaced. We cannot check or restore records kept only on your device.
5. Content and prohibited conduct
The app's design, 3D scene and sound, text and software are protected by the rights of JC Studio or the rightful owners. You may use them for personal purposes within what the app provides. This does not restrict uses permitted by law.
You may not disrupt the service, bypass security restrictions, obtain logs, purchases or ad rewards by illegitimate means, infringe on others' rights, or copy or sell the app's content in bulk without permission. Third-party materials such as open-source software are subject to their own licences.
6. Changes to the service and liability
We may change the app or discontinue some features to fix errors, improve features or respond to changes in the operating environment. Changes that significantly affect your rights will be announced in the app, on the store listing or on this website.
If you find an error or a problem while using the app, please let us know through Support. These terms do not exclude or limit our liability under applicable law or your rights as a consumer.
7. Payments and refunds
- Paid features (the bundle of 10 logs) are sold through Google Play billing, and refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy.
- If more than 48 hours have passed since your purchase, or Google Play did not refund it, email whdcjf8172@gmail.com with your order number (it starts with GPA.).
- Within 7 days of purchase, you can ask to withdraw (cancel) the purchase for logs you have not yet put on the fire.
- Digital features provided immediately upon payment can no longer be withdrawn (cancelled) once you start using them, under Article 17(2) of the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce of the Republic of Korea. A log counts as used once you put it on the fire. However, if a feature is not provided properly or differs from its description, we will refund you.
- If you bought logs and they did not arrive, first reopen the app. If they still have not arrived, email us with your order number and we will look into it.
8. Ending use and deleting records
You can stop using or uninstall the app at any time. Uninstalling the app also removes the logs left on your phone. How to delete records and usage statistics is explained on the Support page. Because there is no service account, there is no account deletion procedure.
9. Changes to these terms and contact
If we change these terms, we will update the date on this page and announce important changes appropriately before they take effect. Disputes are governed by applicable law and lawful jurisdiction, and mandatory protections that apply to you take precedence.
